Their collars were hung by the chimney with care.

Twas a Monday  before Christmas, ere our Open  House,

Not a doggie was stirring, not even our Scout.

Their collars were hung by the chimney with care,

Welcome to my morning!
Welcome to my morning!

For they had been washed, now they hung in midair.

And I in my PJs, I sat with our pack

And dreamed of the holidays,

And watched ducks out back.

  1. Thanks for the reminder that there is peace on earth where there are faithful companions, warm fires and good company. I appreciate your creativity and your willingness to share it as a gift. Merry Christmas!
